Important events in 2023

The year 2023 was very eventful and brought several significant events to M2M Solutions. We would like to provide you with a brief overview of the most interesting moments.

The future of logistics lies in robotization

Through a new collaboration with HIK ROBOT, we are able to integrate the latest robotic solutions into the warehouse and production environment and are currently preparing them for Lunys. The goal of the project is to transform the traditional warehouse process into a new, automated and efficient system using robots and their seamless integration into the transport logistics system (TLS) and warehouse management system (WMS). With this step, we will expand the WMS with a new capability, namely to integrate an automated warehouse.

We continue to explore the universe

As part of the SENAV project consortium, we continue to develop a drone that navigates in an unknown environment and are currently testing the accuracy of position estimation. The tests are taking place in a simulator that contains terrain created from real photographs of the Martian surface. The drone connected to the simulator flies in a virtual world over this simulated Martian surface and creates a map during its flight. Our task is to develop optical navigation for a fully autonomous drone in an unknown environment. We can then use the technology on Earth, in a combination of controlled warehouse and drones, which will lead to a huge technological advance in warehouse systems.

We have integrated the first ground station in the Ground Station Scheduling Broker (GSSB) project and are currently approaching the final phase. The project represents a significant step forward in the field of satellite communication management and we believe it can revolutionize the way we connect and communicate with space objects. The foundation of the project is our transport logistics system. GSSB thus opens the market to new users who can start using satellites for data collection.

Another major milestone for our company is the use of our managed warehouse system to manage the supply chain of space companies. The solution we designed has been assessed by the European Space Agency (ESA) and recommended for implementation. It offers a comprehensive overview of stocks from all cooperating entities in real time and enables better collaboration between space entities and partners.

Product sustainability

The systems we develop save money. They also save nature and are sustainable. Digitalization and efficient process setup contribute to a more environmentally friendly functioning of companies and thus to sustainability. We believe that our path is to create innovations that take into account the needs and expectations of not only today, but also future generations.

We had the opportunity to present this topic several times during the year at various conferences. We are very pleased that we contributed in this way to raising awareness about such an important topic as environmental protection.

We consider conferences to be a very important space for meetings and interesting discussions. Other main topics of our presentations were trends in smart logistics and our space story. We appreciate the excellent work of the organizers.

Product development

The year 2023 was full of challenges for us, and product installations were another pillar of our journey.

As a supplier of warehouse and logistics solutions, we cooperate with the most modern hospital in Slovakia , Bory Hospital. We are very pleased that with our system we have significantly contributed to paperless operations and optimization of logistics flows.

Several warehouses have been added, which we have transformed into a new, digital form through our WMS. Deploying a WMS into a warehouse environment can be very fast and the implementation takes up to 10 days. However, full digitalization sometimes requires specific adjustments and takes longer. We currently have several warehouse digitalization projects that we will continue to work on in the coming year.

During the year, we experienced an exciting moment with our Manipulation by Light (M2L) product when a customer successfully installed the system themselves for the first time. Equally impressive was the first installation of M2L combined with a ProGlove scanner.

We have also implemented other solutions for our customers, such as ViMS, e-kanban, and OCR label reading.

We are truly excited to be a partner with our customers on their journey to digitalization. This modern transformation not only increases process efficiency, but also opens the door to new possibilities and innovations.

We won an innovation award

Every award is precious and encouraging for us. This year we won the award in the Exceptional Company project in the innovation category, which is announced by TÜV SÜD Slovakia. Together with more than 50 companies, we were evaluated in terms of promoting quality, approach to innovation and social responsibility. We greatly appreciate the award and see it as proof that innovation is not just a word for us, but a real philosophy.

The end of the year is connected with a new concept of selling a transport logistics system. Intelligent planning of transport into time windows saves time and transport costs with an emphasis on sustainable goals. From now on, it is really available to everyone as a service in the form of a monthly fee. Go green .
