Case study — logistics for the automotive industry
WMS solution tailored to the PSA Peugeot Citroën Slovakia process
How GEFCO Slovakia managed a turnover of 2,000 pallets per day with minimal errors — thanks to a WMS system from M2M Solutions, delivered within 6 weeks of entering requirements.

High pallet volume, zero tolerance for chaos
GEFCO Slovakia is a major provider of logistics services focused on the automotive industry, industrial logistics and vehicle transport. In Bratislava, it provides warehouse management directly for the process of PSA Peugeot Citroën Slovakia.
Managing warehouse processes with a high volume of pallets required accurate records, quick orientation in the warehouse and efficient use of warehouse space. The key requirements were FIFO storage and picking, traceability of each pallet and support for quality control — all with a turnover of 2,000 pallets per day.
GEFCO therefore needed a simple WMS system that would guide workers during storage and picking and provide an online overview of warehouse stocks.
Are you dealing with the same thing in your warehouse?
-
Does your warehouse need to handle a high daily pallet volume without losing track of what exactly is where?
-
Do you need to implement the FIFO method, but in practice it cannot be relied on without system support?
-
Do you lack the traceability of each pallet for quality control or complaints?
-
Do you need to deploy the solution quickly, without months of downtime in the production supply chain?
-
Training new warehouse workers must be fast and seamless, not a lengthy process?
Good news: the solution can be deployed in units of weeks, precisely tailored to the specific production process, not according to a general template.
Deploying exactly according to the process, not according to a template
The M2M Solutions warehouse management product has become another successfully installed system in the automotive industry. Together with GEFCO, we created a very user-friendly installation tailored exactly to the process requirements of PSA Peugeot Citroën Slovakia — and we managed to do it within 6 weeks of receiving the requirements.
-
A solution tailored exactly to the process of a specific customer.
-
A simple user interface for quick staff training.
-
An online overview of warehouse stocks available immediately.
WMS — warehouse management system
Scanner instead of paper and memory
The solution uses DATALOGIC scanners that navigate employees directly at work. The system recommends a position to the warehouse worker based on the real volume of material at individual positions and guides the operator during storage and picking. All movements are carried out via a barcode reader, so the warehouse always has an accurate and up-to-date online inventory overview.

"We appreciate the cooperation with M2M Solutions, because they were able to deliver a full-fledged solution for our warehouse in a short time, tailored to our needs. They were also very creative in launching the system and resolving incidents related to it."

A new level of warehouse management from M2M Solutions
A solution tailored to a specific production process
We did not adapt the WMS to a general template, but precisely to the process of PSA Peugeot Citroën Slovakia — from the placement of positions to recommendations for warehouse workers.
Rapid deployment without delaying the supply chain
Only 6 weeks passed from entering the requirements to handing over the solution — critical for a warehouse that directly supplies the car manufacturer's production line.
Proven at high volume
The system reliably handles a turnover of 2,000 pallets per day with traceability of each of them — this is not a solution tested only on a small volume.
Long-term cooperation, not a one-time project
GEFCO and M2M are currently negotiating the expansion of cooperation to other operations in the form of software as a service.
