When inventory positions change with the season
Hortim operates a fruit and vegetable warehouse in Senec, where the range of goods changes according to the season — and with it the distribution of goods in warehouse positions. Our partner Anasoft, which supplies Hortim with a WMS system, received a request from the customer to speed up and streamline the picking process.
Frequent changes in warehouse positions due to seasonality made minimizing errors a key priority — the operator cannot rely on memory or established habits when the location of goods is constantly changing. In addition, the operation also had its own physical conditions: the system must operate reliably in the cold environment of the hall at a temperature of around 5 °C.
Hortim and Anasoft needed a solution that could display the current warehouse status in real time, was easy to install, and did not require lengthy training — even when the positions of goods changed.

The M2L system is integrated directly with the Anasoft WMS system. The warehouse did not have to change its existing information system — M2L simply added a visual layer that displays the current warehouse status in real time and eliminates errors during picking.

The operator only picks what is lit
Visual navigation via LED signaling shows the operator exactly the positions from which he should pick at a given moment — regardless of how the assortment or distribution of goods has changed in the meantime. The operator does not need to know the warehouse by heart or follow a paper list of positions that constantly changes with the season.
