Last year was a ground-breaking year for us. Our company celebrated the 10th anniversary, our portfolio was expanded with autonomous mobile robots and we flew into space thanks to the collaboration on the GRBAlpha project. Space is a very interesting topic for us and we have started to  search the ways how to diversify our portfolio into the space industry.

Slovakia at Dubai Expo 2020

Thanks to our cooperation with the European Space Agency on project the Ground Station Scheduling Broker under the program called PECS, we, as one of the few Slovak companies, were part of the Dubai Expo 2020 exposition during the legendary Space week.   Here, we had the first-hand experience of the world's largest exhibition in  country that is one of the richest in the world and at theevent  that istruly at the world-class level.

An exhibition center that impressed

Upon arriving at the exhibition center, located in the desert, we were surprised by its size and infrastructure, including golf carts for transportation. The Slovak pavilion was about a 15-minute walk from the center and 2 km from the nearest entrance. Despite the pandemic, the exhibition was safely organized with thorough controls.

The Slovak pavilion among the most popular

The entire exhibition had a futuristic feel, and the Slovak pavilion was one of the most interactive. The center of the exhibition offered cultural events and a light show. The pavilions were airy and technologically sophisticated – a true pinnacle of human creativity.

Opening of Space Week and interesting exhibitions

The Slovak pavilion was among the first to open. We also attended the official opening of Space Week at the Warhol Bistro. The delegation took us on a tour of the exhibition, where visitors could try out a flight simulation, drive a robotic car on the lunar surface, or relax in a themed relaxation room.

Interactive presentation of our project

Our Ground Station Scheduling Broker project was also presented in the interactive part of the pavilion. Visitors could control the content of the exhibition, which was adapted to the theme weeks, with the movement of their hands.

How we got from the automotive industry to the space industry

In addition to the exhibition section, we also gave a presentation to a professional audience entitled How we got from the automotive industry to the space industry, where we showed how we managed to diversify the WMS system and transfer it to the space industry.

Pride that drives us forward

We are proud that our company has become part of the best that Slovakia has to offer in the space industry. Cooperation with ESA allows our colleagues to work on global projects – with an impact beyond the borders of our planet.
