Newmatec 2022: Machine vision and artificial intelligence in logistics

After a long break caused by the pandemic, the largest international knowledge forum in the automotive industry, focused on new materials, technologies, and innovations that determine current and future trends in the automotive and related industries, was held again.

Presentation of future technologies from M2M Solutions

The two-day Newmatec 2022 conference took place in the pleasant surroundings of the Low Tatras, and on the second day of lectures, our CEO Martin Jančo, who is also vice president of the Automotive Industry Association of the Slovak Republic, gave a speech. During his presentation, he introduced technological innovations in the field of machine vision and artificial intelligence in logistics, which can be of great benefit to the automotive sector.

It is precisely the use of the potential of standard cameras in conjunction with artificial intelligence that can greatly influence workplace safety, significantly speed up inventory, and save hidden and unnecessary costs associated with errors in the production process or order picking.

Discussions, exchange of experiences and inspiration

A large number of experts gathered in one place to give interesting lectures, which were always followed by a discussion. The topics of the conference were truly diverse. Noteworthy was the view of the current geopolitical situation and its impact on the automotive industry, which is greatly affected by circumstances. The development of electromobility in the world and in Slovakia was a major topic at this year's conference and created space for reflection and discussion about the future of electric cars.

Informal networking with experts

Discussions also took place during breaks and evening networking events, where it was possible to meet the expert speakers and engage in debate with them in an informal atmosphere. We consider the Slovak automotive world together with foreign experts in one place to be a high-level conference that is well worth attending.
